Hi all:
Now that all the hoopla, and the newness has sort of died down, I
think I will do a few transmissions in the CMSK-31 mode tonite.
The receive frequency will be 1.810 MHz, and which ever mode you
prefer to use, ie: USB or CW, just chose the approriate offset.
I will start with some beacon transmissions around 23:00 UTC
which is still about 1-1/2 hours till twilight here, so some
groundwave is still possible then. I will be using 20 watts power
so no bone crushing signal, but that has never been my intentions
either. I have never tried a QSO in any digital mode except Packet
quite a few years ago, but if I am being received OK, and anyone
wants to try for a 160 meter 2 way, just email me to let me know,
and we'll give it a go to see what happens.
