I will announce in advance that I will give CMSK-31 a try on 160
meters tonite. I will start with a test message at 00:00 UTC,
8 pm EDST. That is about 45 minutes before dark here. I will use
around 20 watts output, unless the rig starts to get too hot.
The frequency will be 1.821 MHz. .... This all depends of course
on whether I can get the transmit to work right, I haven't tried
it on transmit yet. And if no storms are threatening. Anyone who
wants to give it a go; see if you can find me in the noise !!!
I will be checking my emails periodically, so if anyone wants to
try for a 2 - way QSO, After seeing that you can decode me, then
let me know, and I'll look for you. I have yet to decode anyone
with CMSK, but 600 meters has been horrendously noisy. 160 might
be a tiny bit better.
If something comes up that I can't be on, I'll post as soon as I
can so no one will waste their time looking for nothing.
