Hello all:
I found a wiring problem on my transverter board, and fixed that.
Now I have the TDA7205A Audio chip / PA mounted on the board and
I am running WSPR now at 100% transmit sequence. The RF " I " is
steady at 130 MilliAmps. So, let's see what happens now... It will
be great to see an actual distant decode of " XR4TN " on 1750 meters.
I don't know if that would be the first time for a lowFER station
to run WSPR on 1750 meters, but I'm finally getting the beacon
operational. I still have to construct a matching network between
the Audio amp - PA, and the lowFER antenna, but it will run now
because the DC resistance of my loading coil is 9 Ohms, so the
8 Ohm output is loading into the antenna.
If you decide to try for a decode; set your frequency at 184.000
on Upper Sideband, and the signal will be very close to 500 in the
WSPR waterfall window. Another note to know that you might be seeing
my signal; It will move up and down in frequency a couple of cycles
either way. The drift is very slow, so it should not hinder possible
decodes of the signal if you can receive it.
An upfront thank you to all who give it a try tonite. 73 for now ::
