Hello,
Tnx to Andys help I was able to get WSPR halfway running last night. I
even copied him once but not more after that. However, I left it
running all night and got the following:
0506 -22 -0.8 1.838085 0 2 60
0540 -22 -0.7 1.838085 0 MK4RRL 37
0748 -23 -0.7 1.838085 0 670LQP EA92 50
0748 -22 -0.6 1.838085 0 670LQP EA92 50
0854 -22 -0.7 1.838085 0 SBJ/MC5WYZ 37
0936 -23 -0.5 1.838085 0 345ELT 23
0936 -23 -0.5 1.838085 0 345ELT 23
1106 -23 -0.5 1.838085 0 S59VVG RE12 60
Honestly, I have monitored this reflector for quite sometime and still
feel like I'm climbing a brick wall and mostly because I have not tried
much but have read most the time. But I must admit I have no idea who
these people are and where they are. Maybe it needs to be posted to a
different reflector as well but I did find it intriguing. I have googled
with no success so far and have been unable to find the callsigns used
and the grid squares are not local either it appears.
FYI.... I was monitoring 1.836.60 USB with a Yaesu 1000MP and a 160m
Loop approximatley 35'-40' off the ground. Also just noticed I had 18db
of attentuation cut on using the 2.4k filter. I was playing around and
forgot to turn off the attenuator (Must have been late?). Anyway... I'd
like to know what some of this is if anyone knows as it was my first
time using WSPR.
However, after further research it appears the following from one of the
websites:
S59VVH was in RE12 in Slovenia at 9114 miles.
670LQP was in EA92 in ??? At 8527 miles.
The remainder I was unable to figure out even with the WSPR websites and
such. I would love to know more about these people. Maybe I can get to
Tx next but unsure of wattage most use.
Thanks & 73,
Rick
