Hi Andy, Lowfers,

You can make a basic power supply with nothing more than a transformer, four diodes or a rectifier block,
and a big filter cap. Where do you get the transformer? A microwave oven....carefully remove the high
voltage and filament windings, leaving the primary intact. Wind a new primary of #10 THHN wire and
away you go...the right voltage and lots of current available. The ones I've done needed two turns
per volt to give me the correct output under load. Do a curb crawl on garbage day for the uWave.
