    The one for which I have a data sheet [somewhere] has the decoding 
and LCD  drivers were "on chip".  There were different part numbers for 
different time formats.

used to sell them, and may still. Then all you need to do is write a program
for a uP to decode the data and display it. Might be a worth while project "
