Hi Gary,
 The loop is oriented with its ends pointing almost dead east / west ( 270 - 
90 degrees ) so yes there should be at least a 3db loss off the sides.
 Id love to get another one up pointing north/south and phase them 
somehow.But thats pretty far down on my wish list!! Hope you get to hear it
