JD , I just had a look at the picture . I owned one that looked identical to 
this , without the logo on the front . The one I owned was built from a kit 
that a company ,  that must have been in our area , offered . As I remember 
mine didn't have the white line around the front panel either . A pastor 
owned it before me and told me either he or his father had built it from a 
kit . It has been too many years to remember the exact story , since I 
bought it probably in the late 60's to early 70's .

I lost my collection , with it in it , in a divorce in 1997 .

Did you pick it up at one of their auctions ? I have known Jerry and knew 
his dad many years ago . I used to repair his dads CB equipment .

I have 30 acres available to me just west of Chetopa a few miles , and spend 
a lot of time out there . I may put a beacon on over there at the farm this 
winter . It is the place I have plenty of room to play with antennas , since 
it is an unimproved acreage , that was previously in cultivation , until my 
sister bought it a couple of years ago . Only problem is just a few little 
trees are all that is available for supports , so I am going to set a couple 
of utility poles to string antennas on . It is so remote it is also a very 
nice and quiet location to listen from .
