Yes 1hz to about 32mc. No detents on the encoder either. Smooth tuning. I don't remember the exact upper end but it is coverage from audio thru the HF bands. You can select the tuning rate by pushing a switch or the encoder, as it has a push to select feature in it. Put the curser under the digit you want to change up or down, and spin the knob. I put a nice big heavy Bakelite knob on my encoder.
I don't even bother with my tube signal generators anymore. It's good and clean sounding on the receiver also. A guy could take a DDS VFO & drive the final amp of a Part 15 transmitter and eliminate drift and frequency accuracy issues. The only drawback I see in doing that is to QSY, one would need to run outside and manually tune the antenna or use cordless drill's or R/C servo's to turn the adjustments. hi hi
