[Lowfer] "Is this thing on?"

Hopefully it is just because the season isn't in full swing. I'm just worried
that there's something "big" that I'm overlooking in all of this that's going
to keep me off the air this season. I did ask for people to keep an eye
peeled on the local QRP club list, but the only one who listened sent some
Argo shots of something drifting all over the place. I may not be getting
out, but I do know that I'm pretty stable. The crystal oscillator has been
running just about continuously for three weeks now and it settled in and has
stayed solid.

But I should be at the watering hole in a week or two. I'm actually going to
have to put in a battery backup because the DSS loses it's frequency when it
loses power.

Charlie--I popped a half dozen more transistor sockets off the board and have
them in an envelop that I'll send your way tomorrow. One thing I'd do is
check continuity before and after you install them. I had one that I
discovered didn't have continuity AFTER I'd soldered it in. Kind of defeats
the purpose of a socket when you've got to pull the socket out and repair it.
