Hi Charlie,
Im using the first one : the one with a variable cap and no FET stage.I am
using a single turn loop (10ft) with a fixed capacitor tuned to 185.3 and
fed with coax .Im using Lyles pre-amp also so I dont really need the FET
stage.
I had some really nice screen shots of MP and a few of XR but I notice a
lot of noise (not manmade or impulse type); just a high background level.I
need to really learn the FFT filter so I can get better pictures.
I do know I like it much better than my TS 820 and an upconverter. This
thing worked the first time I used it.
