John,

Sorry to hear a fire forced you to QRT. I was listening for WSPR signals 
on 60 meters when I saw signals from you and Dex on the F1AFJ grabber. 
By the time I tuned in yours had gone away, but Dex is still pounding in 
here on QRSS30 (he was sending QRSS60 11/22/09).

I have no ham transmitting experience at LF, but I did thesis work with 
a 5 MW, 40.92 MHz meteor radar. The 17 dBd phased dipole antenna array 
was matched with open wire lines and I certainly worried about setting 
weeds on fire during the summer. To pass the time during 24-hour data 
collection runs the operating wavelength was noted via the variation of 
arcing distance to a pencil held  cautiously on a long pole near one of 
the high-SWR lines.
