[Lowfer] WD2XKO + WD2XES on tonight

That's correct. The loop is a mess from last winter's ice storm. The top
conductor is zig-zagging through broken branches that haven't yet come
down, and insulation is badly abraded all over the place. A big branch
slipped recently, and yanked the cable near the feedpoint, which caused
contact with the tree on which the tuning box is mounted. That's where
the arc occurred tonight.
The real solution would be to try to take down the existing antenna and
string up a new one with new wire. But I'm not sure that it will be
possible to actually remove the old wire due to the tangled messes in
the upper branches. And it sure isn't safe to be out there under some of
those trees! Every windy day brings more crashes in the woods, more than
11 months after the storm.
