Gary - conditions here on long haul Transpacific have deterioated with the advent of increased solar wind/Northern Aurora - my AK receiver on HF isn't picking up much, and Trans continental Americas from AK to
WE2XGR/2 produced only a brief "X" at his pre dawn and we got some iono tilt.

Think my DX days have gone for a while :-((

Subject: [Lowfer] LF signals to NE IL

LF noise was down over night so copied WA2XRM (Colorado, 479.697 kHz,
QRSS10), WD2XSH/20 (Oregon, 508.6 kHz CW), WE2XGR/2 (Connecticut,
506.506 kHz, QRSS20 - seen over an hour before sunset), and even
WD2XSH/34 during a daytime test of PSK10 on 505.675 kHz. Didn't fare
well on 136 kHz though - nothing was seen from WD2XES (the new WSPR 2.0
code falses with alarming regularity on my 60-Hz harmonic QRM). Around
midnight, lowfers were doing decently on both the W5JGV grabber and
here. MP was best, then XR, then CV. By the time I looked for WMS the
band had faded and didn't recover. VLF conditions weren't bad either,
just different. Usually NWC, 19.8 kHz, Australia comes in well around
sunrise but it was in the noise this morning. Instead, JJI, 22.2 kHz,
Japan was in there, as was one of the Beta transmitters on 20.5 kHz.

Hope tonight will be kinder at 2200 meters.
