Hi all:

It took 2 days of work, and " XR " is back on with a modified
antenna. I don't want to say better, because I can't tell any
difference here in readings. However with the additional 5 Ft.
in height, and a larger vertical radiator wire, maybe !! a
tiny bit more RF will get into the airwaves. One thing I'll
definitely be checking out tonite is Ralphs grabber to see if
any discernable change in signal occurs.

I snapped a bunch of photos of the antenna work while it was
progressing. Once I have the chance to edit them and put them
in order, I'll post them on the net. The only photo I missed
was when the mast pipe " Snapped " and all came tumbling down.
Fortunately not on me !!! Sure did create one heck of a mess
though, and took the extra day to straighten it up. And in
the process, I put my top-hat together using plastic coat
hangers for spacers to keep the wires from tangeling as they
did the first time.

Supper is ready, and so am I. Be back later; 73 ::::
