[Lowfer] Antenna material question

Hello all:

Are there any " REAL " benefits in using a 1 inch aluminum
pipe, versus an 18 guage stranded wire as the vertical
radiator in a lowfer antenna system ??

I would like to hear experiences from those who have tried
both ways, and any differences you saw in antenna efficiency.

Large diameter conductor, VS: small diameter conductor.

antenna work.
