[Lowfer] GROUP INFORMATION REQUEST

Gentlemen ,

I am at this point very slowly and very casually collecting information on the history of part 15 , and posting it on the Yahoo Part15 Group site .

Due to other commitments I don't have the time at present to devote large amounts of time to it .

I am looking for any information , that does not have any issues with copyrights , that would prevent me from posting it for anyone to view .

I am especially interested in the names and calls of anyone that was active at any point in time and also their location and perhaps a short bio . The further back the better , much like the information that Dex has posted , all the way to the present .

Also any additional information such as modes and best DX would be great . Type of equipment used , antenna , any information possible .

I would also like pictures of homebrew equipment and even of the operators , again from the tube type everything days to the modern computer , microprocessor equipment , accessories and antennas .

I would like to gather as complete of a history of the part 15 stations and operators as possible , especially lowfers .

Already much of this information has been lost and I would at least like to preserve what I can find of it for posterity on the web .

I am NOT an author and it will all be done on the web , nothing in the form of a book .

Hopefully by the winter of 2010 , I will have enough information to devote a web page just to the evolution of part 15 from its beginning to the present time .

Again I am looking for mainly private information that does not involve any copyrights .

I want everything that I post to be available for all to have full and complete access to it , so that they may view it entirely for FREE , for anyone interested in our history .

ANY and all help will be GREATLY appreciated .

Thank you.

Best 73's ,

Charlie , W5COV
