Hi Lee, Lowfers,
I use good quality RG-6U coax that I buy from the local cable company
for 20 cents per foot. This is the stuff with high density braid as well as
an aluminum foil wrap over top. It also has a very gooey, self-sealing
substance between the outer jacket and the foil. If the jacket gets a
nick in it, this goo will seal it up again. I use the compression style of
F connectors, installed with the proper hand tool. Every one of my
runs, either to or from the LF antennas, uses that cable/connector
arrangement and I've had no problems with either.
