lowFERs :
I had an intrigeing thought. some OPs are reporting that reception
reports are not coming in like last year around this time. I also
notice this. Due to the abundant rainfall this year, the ground is
saturated, and my radiated output is the lowest I've seen since
putting " XR " on the air. Last year, we were having drought
conditions. Garry - K3SIW was copying " XR " back in the summer
when it was dryer, but is not able to copy the signal now when it
should be coming up stronger. My thought / question ::: Are your
reception reports down ?? Are you not seeing stations that you
feel that you should be ?? Is the ground very wet at your local ?
I am not receiving stations that I think I should be. If the wet
ground affects transmit; to a much lesser extent I suppose; it
could also possibly affect receive somewhat. Add both situations
together; could there be any relation ?? Hmmmm
