I got this post from Bill Bowers today.
If there is anyone in the Houston area Bill could probably use a hand.
Bill is 82 years old , in excellent condition, but that is
quite a job for anyone.
I made the 4sqrp convention in Branson Mo this past weekend and picked up
a Softrock lite 80mtr rec and a Softrock rxtx v6.2
tranceiver for 80m. I may convert one or both of these for lowfer work.
Anyone have any experience with doing that please step up
with any advice. I am new to SDR but the more I learn the more it looks
like the way to go for multimode lowfer work. Joe Porter
w0mqy who now has beacon MO promised to have it on the air by sept.
Charles Vest wasnt able to be in Branson because of duties with emergency
communications. There was severe flooding in his
area. Heavy rains here too. My yard is very wet, grass is 8 inches high,
and it will be days before it dries out where I can mow
it. Meanwhile WMS survived the storms.

Paul:; Sorry I missed the Hamfest in MO. I had plans to come & bring you
 another box of " Stuff".
Family problems developed
The recent storms here snapped several guy ropes on WEB. I have shut down
WEB for like 2 months to get it tilted over & all the guy ropes &
insulators replaced. Please pass the word. I will keep you posted.
Bill
