Thanks for the heads up on the grabber status. There are moans and
 gnashing of the teeth
all over the western hemisphere, signs of withdrawal, when the grabber is
 down. You are our
most valuble resource.

The presently frozen plot on the Lowfer Grabulator gives the big clue.  
The growing big nasty peak, compared to the previous night's normal,  
noisy self.

A very, very intense storm, wind-shear and big-time hail, as well as  
wicked sparklies, by all accounts. I was watching the Grabulator from  
afar with increasing alarm, and called my wife to "yank all the black  
wires". Which she duly did despite the approaching thunder; will be  
paying for that for a while!  
 
All the monitoring will get turned back on when I get back, tonight or  
tomorrow.
