Hey Peter:

hope all is well at your QTH !!

Q #1: The HF mast is 32' high, and the LF mast is 22' high,
so the HF wires you see are above the LF tophat. My HF ant.
is a 160 meter Windom, and an 80 meter Dipole in an " X "
pattern fed with a single coax simutaneously.

Q #2: the HF wires are not connected to the LF tophat, and
as deceiving as the photos are; only the short leg of the
Windom ( Bearing West ) actually goes over the top of the
LF tophat.

Q#3: The supports for the LF tophat wires are Trees, and
the cable TV coax run down the road. I use Masons Twine for
support, and there is virtually no weight to speak of, so no
problem with pulling on the cable line.

Q#4: I can't give you an answer as to the interaction
between the HF, and LF ant's. We all know that anything in
close proximity to any ant. will have some sort of interaction,
and the lower in frequency you go, the more evident the
interaction becomes. The HF ant. was up for 2 years before I
put up the LF ant. for " XR ".

Lastly; Peter, feel free to " Make a comment " on " XR's "
My Space page. It's open to anyone to post comments. Add your
experiences, and invites for others to join in the fun.

I'm looking forward to the LOWfer eMails starting to pick up
again. - - - - 73 to all:
