Garry and Group,
Heh heh, well a good I didn't give a WEB signal report on last night's rx-ing before I read the List mail ;-))
Thought I had a good but unusual copy of WEB. Had been watching MP and CV (good copy on mP, bit less for CV) and switched to WEB's freq. at 11:30P CST. Wow, a good trace started on Argo-30 and then shifted DFCW-like 0.5Hz, up and down. Did that a few times and continued solid. It was about 1.5Hz higher that last time I recorded WEB a month back. Thougt Bill was out at the shed turning dials. Heh heh, now I know "the rest of the story." Well sumpin was out there writing on My Argo, hmm, who was that masked signal?
Seeing as Bill didn't protect that cable that crushed, may be a while 'til next one gets buried for WEB to QRSS again.
Other note: Unusual last night too the level of foreign BC at 182 (Euro-1) and also 162 at 9:45P. But that from 190 was down. It's more common to hear LF BC nearer sundown only.
Will be waiting for the real WEB after this weekend. ;-)) Peter

A note received 1/19/09 from Bill but as far as I know not placed on
this list is as follows:
>I got out to WEB antenna this morning & found it was dead! The
problem was that I have a 500 foot 12 volt power >cable from the shop to
the antenna and it was dug in under a gravel driveway. A heavy truch
must have crushed the >cable.
