Agree on the 'counterpoise' as suggested by Johan. Even though my antenna is located over relatibely
good ground (an old pasture) I noticed that the termination would need readjusting with dry vs. wet
ground conditions. An eight wire ground system where the 'spokes' extend a small distance beyond the
antenna stabilized the pattern.
