Very true.

The radiation pattern of a small loop is simply cos(x) where x is the angle with
respect to the plane of the loop. The phase is reversed when passing through the
null. Just add a properly phased signal from a circular pattern antenna with the
same sensitivity as the loop max (pattern = 1 in all directions) and the
resulting pattern becomes 1+cos(x) which is a nice cardioid! :-)
