Over night LF propagation was enhanced to the NE from Illinois. A number
of new (to us) NDBs were logged in New England. So it was an opportune
time to tune for VO1NA on 184.509 kHz. Using ARGO QRSS-60, a signal was
evident after 0500Z, 011009. About 0545Z the letters "NA" came through.
Unfortunately, at that point I left to look for new NDBs. Returning
around 0700Z, only occasional traces of signal were found. In somewhat
the opposite direction, the watering hole beacon CV didn't fade into the
noise until 1300Z. And, of course, beacon MP remained strong even after
sunrise.
