[Lowfer] Sleepless in Illinois

Peter,

Thanks for putting in all your time looking for Wm. I don't seem to be registering on the Grabulator all that well these days, either - at least not like I used to. All I know is that my antenna current is up to par considering it is a #10 wire @ 1w, and a loop is about as dependable in putting out a consistent signal under all conditions, as it gets.

I'm all the more resolved to installing a second E/W loop using the same #10 wire in Andover and placing set of "Wm"s a half Hz below my Ellsworth signal. Should be fun to watch.

At those times MP was consistently present. Whereas sometimes MP will fade off Argo, later reappearing, pending conditions.

My early assessment is that my mountain site is not doing all that well but reports like yours, especially comparisons to TAG, are of high importance. My Andover loops seemed to have been copied with much more strength on the Grabulator and other locations back in the 'good old Watering Hole days'. I've been monitoring the input current to the final and this has not changed more than a few % since the time I began transmitting, so we can assume any variability in received strength has nothing to do with local conditions up here. Would be interesting to, once again, begin transmitting from Andover and see how the two signals compare. That transmitting setup is still intact except for the loop itself.
