Thanks for the monitoring you've been doing Jay, You've provided
some exciting captures for us. The one demonstrating the
directionality of your K9AY ant. shows its merit. Thanks for the
capture of " XR " each one seems to be stronger than the last one.
I have to say #1; it's your receive setup, and #2 propagation.
My XMTR is generating abt. 1.2 watts, and the ant. is absolutely
within the 50 foot length as per part 15, 30 foot vertical, and
20 foot horizontal ( tophat ) , no fudging on that part.
A comment abt. my signal pattern. If you'll notice, the beginning
of the signal " Ramps Up " then levels out, then at cut off,
Ramps Up agn. Odd Pattern. When the beacon keys; it takes abt.
10 seconds evidently to charge all the Caps. in the network. OR !
there is a timing anomaly in the switching of the transistors.
Not exactly sure, but I can watch it happen everytime. When the
beacon Un-Keys; the PA current will give a very slight surge before
dropping to Zero, creating the _____/ appearance to the signal.
                               /
I personally think it's a timing effect in the series Cap & Resistor.
I haven't tried it yet, but am thinking abt substituting the 47K res.
with a 50K pot for each transistor and make the timing circuit
adjustable.
Well; so much for my rambling thoughts, I appreciate ALL of you
gentlemen in the LOWfer community. I have seen that this is a very
close knit group of guys, and I have sure had a ball over the last year.

73 for now from the slowly warming Southland.
