Hi Peter it does not need to be triangular, it works with a square or
rectangular shape too.

See may earlier ideas about it being a loop........a normal loop does not
have a terminating resistor.....from that point of view it looks more like a
"travelling wave antenna". My own suggestion is a directionally coupled pick
up.....see waveguide and coax (trough-line ) directional couplers. The
terminating resistor gives the "directionality".
