Hi everyone:
Of course that's not news to anyone. Congradulations to those
who did catch the signal. I listened to, and recorded each
segment; just nothing there. Distance calc's show " SAQ " to
be 3,486 miles from my QTH. Static wasn't my biggest enemy,
right in that frequency range there is a series of very close
spaced, and strong lines of some sort, ranging from just below
16.0 KHz to almost 18.0 KHz. They've been there since I started
trying VLF, and never go away. They're stronger at times than
at others. I don't beleive it's TV since I turned them off; I
would think more that it's internally generated in the computer.
There were 3 lines in the audio passband at 17.2 KHz spaced
40 cycles apart, and each were audible, sounding like a carrier.
Again I want to thank everyone who helped me in getting the
on line audio set up. I'll try to use it for other purposes,
maybe catch a 600 meter station and feed the audio on line to
let them hear their signal at my QTH.
73 to all, and have a great day today;
