WMS is back on the air with a new set of finals. Reports welcome. T'storms just about every day
last three weeks so I have left it off. Maybe we will have good weather for a few days.

No copy of WEB last few days. I will set for WEB tonight but my beacon may desense my rec.

I built a 75 meter superhet rec with 11 2n3904's, four 11mhz xtal filter and vfo using nylon threaded bushing and brass screw for tuning. I posted a picture on www.facebook.com/k5wms. this will I hope develope into a tranceiver. The rec has two single balanced mixers for rec mixer and product detector
performance is comparable to designs I have built using ne602's. The inspiration came from a design by vk3ajg I found on the internet. Google "BC547 qrp ssb" and that should take you there. Those looking for a cheap ssb generator might look at this design. Whole rec has less than $10 in parts , should be able to build tranceiver for less than $30.

Looking foward to fall beacon season.
