OK; after reading some references to reading the current in the
ground side; I decided to move my FS indicator to the xmtr ground.
There is NO doubt, the reading is definitely different. It is more
stable, and I had to retune for a peak reading. The tuning is
smoother too. I am also not seeing the meter fluctuations that I
did when I had it coupled to the ant. itself. And the Biggie !!
as many were saying to me, the meter has proven it, The current in
the ground leg is lower than what the ant. was showing.

My question: CAN I TRUST THIS READING ?? Will it be more accurate
than coupling to the ant. ??
My coupling method is just a few wraps of wire around the ant.,
But now the ground, with the ends tied together, and a single wire
coming to the meter.
It's more than probable that I was affecting the tuning of the ant.
by coupling to it, and that wire was RF HOT too !! but it's not now.
Just curious if this will be a more dependable indicator??

Thanks for any replies; 73, Andy " XR "
