30 foot vertical made from RG58 coax, center and shield tied
together. A 40' " T " tophat ( 20' each direction ). This is a
startup setup, so it is below " less " than optimum, right now
the ant. runs out the window of the shack, and up the side of
my mobile home ( Aluminum sided !!! ). The PA section, and the
variometer are sitting on a table by the window, ( I know they
need to be outside, but it's the best I can do for now ).
At the moment I have only been able to get 5 radials down
covering NW, to NE. More are planned for the future of course.
Can't do the chicken wire thing in my front yard !!

> Any trees or bushes within a hundred feet of the vertical?

Unfortunately yes; A forest on my SW side about 70' away with
70' plus tall pines and hardwood trees. Plus my HF Windom goes
right over the top of the LOWfer ant. abt 10' above it. Like I
said; below less than optimum, but this experiment was just to
see if I could get a signal out on 1750 meters, and I've proven
that I can. I wanted to try my hand at homebrewing the rig and
Ant. components. I have much more to learn, and hope some day
soon to try for a Part-5 license.
