I have a quanity of 1/2 in. hard line and am thinking of making a LF loop with it -- naturally. Need to get going on the outdoor work before the chill sets in. So the loop will need a frame and mounting post. Now is the time, 80 degs. today.

I presently have a 12 foot multi-turn loop setup for 600 meters. That stays as is.
I'd like to setup another for 1750M with this hardline. Here's some questions:

1) Is a 10ft D. a good size or is more better?
2) What about 2 turns in a 10 foot dia.?
3) Is tuning needed or just coupled into the feedline with a 2:1 (?) turns core?
4) if tuning is desired, does one measure the L of the loop and compute the C to series tune it to freq?

Any pertinent ideas welcome  ;-)
