[Lowfer] Info on LYQ beacon

David the owner I presume of the LYQ beacon asked me to pass along the 
info about his station. Freq is 529.00kc in CW mode, no carrier.


The LYQ beacon might be a good reference beacon for the  600 KC group.
The Beacon is running  25 watts into a Vertical antenna that is 140 feet
high  it is a 'typical' NDB beacon flat top antenna.  The flat top is 
257 feet long suspended between two 140 foot high towers that suspend
one of our Rhombic antennas.
The ground radials is extensive 90  radials each 500 +  feet long!  We
add a few more every few weeks!!!!

During the daytime the Beacon will give me solid points on the aircrafts
RMI indicator out to 400 miles at 41,000feet!  We would LOVE reception
reports from the 600 KC group !!!!  could you pass this request on?????

hobby going!!!!!!   I have a 10 meter beacon also  28.210 mhz  WA4SZE/B
   it's off right now but will be back on the air next week
