I assisted Sam Harris, W1FZJ, in similar tests in the mid 60's. Sam also
insisted in close spacing of signals ( 5 Kc using period correct
terminology) as well as using reactive inputs.
The conclusion was that it wasnt something to be used on the average
coax fed ham antenna including commercial tribanders. One of the tests
was at my home on a TH6DXX and side by side with a 7360 modified 75A4.
Others who took the receiver home, including Hank Cross, W1OOP, reported
similar problems.
His lengthy report was widely distributed and copies must still exist.
