Bill,
Nice copy! There's a definite round-off in WOLF's frequency readings
starting with the 192-second line. If the signal is strong enough to
register in the 24, 48 or 96 second slots, then you get the exact
frequency. Beyond that, WOLF seems to only allow certain discrete
values, and you can wander from one to another. With a weak enough
signal and fading, a line or two can easily be lost during otherwise
decent copy. But just like BPSK's GRAB function, you can have very solid
copy after a strong signal is turned off!
My frequency is probably a little off, as I haven't had a GPS lock since
last spring. The GPS antenna died, and I just haven't gotten around to
picking up another. Last I knew, the 10 MHz output from the GPS receiver
was still closer than my ability to read against WWV, which would be a
part in 10^8 or so. But I haven't checked it in a while. Will have to do
some net surfing to find another antenna for the HP Z3801A.
Anyway, the four watts can run without me around to watch the rig, so
it'll be on until Friday night, and possibly over the the weekend. Will
advise later in the week.
