Re: Wire Source For Loops

Dex recently stated his source for inexpensive house wire, ie, Romex
cable, sans its sheath. A home store here lists 250ft 14-2 at $40.
However also found there was simple bell wire. A 500ft roll of 20-2 solid
 was $37.

Surely this must not be overlooked as a source for winding rx loops, given
that the turns are most often air spaced and negate the poor pvc
insulation inherent in this type of wire when used in, say, tight-wound
coils. But true the R-factor will be higher.

Just a thought for now -- Peter
