At about 0300Z (on 10/20 - also Z) I noted several stations on 600 meters:
- XSH/6 at approximately 505.2662 kHz running QRSS10. At times, it was
easily audible with the naked ear, but it disappeared into QSB by 0345
and from Spectran by 0350.
- Unknown CW at approximately 505.2763. While easily spotted on
Spectran, it was *almost* audible on CW - with the ending "dah"
generally being quite "earidable." This signal was still present after
XHS/6 disappeared into the noise, but it was gradually disappearing from
view by 0400Z. (5 WPM CW or, of course, QRSS would have given the extra
dB or two to copy this by ear...)
- XHS/12 - At 0300 and well past 0400, it was easy copy using an SSB
filter on 505.3966 kHz.
During monitoring, several other faint traces would show up
occasionally, but nothing really definite...
The receiver used was a Drake TR-7 with homebrew DDS outboard VFO, an LF
Engineering LF-400B (circa 1986) and, this evening, 2 of the 3 channels
on my synchronous noise blanker and a Schlumberger 4031 was used as a
marker to measure carrier frequencies.

FWIW, MedFer beacon "CT" is currently operating (at least when I'm not
trying to listen on LF or MF) with QRSS3 on roughly 1704.972 kHz (plus
or minus a Hz or two, depending on temperature.)
