[Lowfer] 2 new 500 khz stations

Interesting John...looks like these will be largely 'ceremonial' type
stations, likely activated for special occasions only? I'm not sure what
they are basing this statement on though :

"the increase in the number of US ships, both commercial and historic, with
the capability to use Morse in the medium frequency band"

Of the hundreds of commercial ships (tankers, container ships, rolos') I see
every year going by the islands I have yet to see any with the once
ubiquitous MF longwires running from mast to mast....they vanished almost
instantly when 500 was shut-down.
