Thanks Bill - I hope conditions keep improving, and we get a nice quiet
winter - with good propagation. Sorta like the 10 stations in the "watering
hole" conditions !

Now you've got me thinking - I turn those things off - but don't actuall

Still using the 137 kHz loop for transmit - very, very stable - just peak it
up once a month ( but not really necessary ). Using the famous NPN-PNP
combination you described and haven't changed things for a year or so.
The "rig" is turned off when I want to do some listening for the other
160-190 kHz stations.
Always checking the mail though - so nice to hear from you
