Ted

Give NDB normal a try. Been seeing XGR/2 on 506.5 kHz - thanks for the new grabber!

I switched over to my Kenwood TS870 and am now receiving wd2xsh/6 quite well. Take a look at my grabber now.

I hear it in CW mode on 511 along with OF. Whip up a 520kc lowpass filter tonight and try that out. I think mine is built for a 520kc cut off freq. Might be 515kc but something to help is better than nothing. Don't like that AM splattering...hi hi
I run a SA612 mixer with a 3.0mc reference to mix the 600m band up to 80 meters. The lowpass filter is between the antenna and the mixer input. No BC birdies with that. WCCO 830kc is with in eye sight of here. 50kw day & night into a full quarter wave tower...hi hi
The 530kc utility stations can be a pain in the behind as some are wide. Also some Spanish stations come in about 530 or so kc some nights with a real wide over modulated signal. Silly. I only get slop from them if I go above 525kc listening to those NDB's up there. LYQ should be real strong on 529kc in CW mode. That is the Tennessee station with 100w and a real big antenna.

I have my attenuator turned on to reduce BC intermod and my S meter reading is S4.
What is the freq of the HMY beacon?
