[Lowfer] MP heard in AR

I set up for capture on COV last night and found MP on the capture this
morning. Time was 0300utc. Wasn't expecting that. Rec was TS50 with pa0rdt
mini whip. COV is on 185298, MP is on 185301.1. No copy on COV yet this
 year.
Charles COV and I have been trying to copy each other last few days with
no sucess. We are about 250 miles apart. I copy WEB well every night-454
 miles.
I have reception reports of 600 to 800 miles.
Some of you with more experience tell me. Are COV and I skiping over each
 other?
I assumed most lw propagation was ground wave, but are we seeing skywave
 only?
