I'm seeing quite a display of QSB from Ellsworth the last two nights. Last night around mid-night I observed numerous bouts of up to 5 1/2 S units of variation in less than 1 minute! this amounts to 33db of variance.
 
Tonight I'm setting up a chart recorder so that I can observe a whole night's worth of data without the need to constantly be visiting the radio room. This should show something about the period of these changes as well. I'm also comparing the QSB amounts between two different receiving antennas - an H-field (loop) and an E-field antenna. The signals are noticeably different!
