Hi JB and Lowfers,

Thank you for, again, monitoring my signal strength from Ellsworth, NH, and the words of encouragement. Interesting to note that there was no QSB in 14 minutes of monitoring! We may have a 'sweet spot' at your area in terms of a perfect distance for this loop. Sort of reminds me of what Mitch in London Ont. and I had going at 185.3K, quite a few years back. I still am surprised we are doing so well at your direction in spite of your being well off to the side. Will be very interesting to see how this continues into the future.

Lot of remaining unanswered questions relating to loops at this frequency. Future plans are to tune the Ellsworth vertical to 512K and sequentially transmit the same power from both antennas - the same as I did a couple of years ago at 185.3K. Another goal is to install a second loop oriented E/W using a long RG-11 conductor that is laying on the ground up there waiting for some action :)

Right now I am back in Andover but I left the transmitter in the key-down mode. The signal is not too strong down here right now, and yes, boring to listen to but it will be fun to follow the strength tonight as darkness arrives and the QSB begins to slow up.

Bill
