I ran the amp at full key down all Tuesday afternoon and the heat sink common to both MosFets stayed cold to the touch! (This is a pair of IRF540s in a totem pole configuration having a separate winding off the input coupling Xfmr feeding each gate/source). On my next trip up (possibly tomorrow) I'll run it this way all night. Will also increase the power level to 50w.

Good question. I haven't been able to determine this yet but my sense is that the QSB is much less at locations like Peter's in Northern Ill. The QSB sure is noticeable in Andover tonight. At least 20db variance from one minute to the next!
