Hi All,
So far this morning I was only able to hear bits and pieces of the first SAQ
transmission starting around 0830 UTC and ending about 0905 UTC. I could
make out occasional letters in-between the static crashes but that was about
all. Signal very weak this time of morning in SE USA.

Their signal is usually much better here after sunrise during their second
transmission and it will be worth listening again between 1230-1300 UTC. Band
conditions are not all that bad on VLF this morning, just the usual rough
summertime static crashes overnight.

A friend in France, Lionel Loudet has set up a real-time waterfall display
to run during both SAQ transmission times this morning. You can see it at :

http://spectrumlab.lionelloudet.homedns.org/

I think you will need a high-speed connection to see it properly. I have
dial-up and the image was refreshing every few seconds but I couldn't see the
whole display.

One can also catch it on the WWLLN remote receiver in Sheffield, UK at this
address :

http://togashef.sheffield.ac.uk/~sferix/vlf.png

The remote receiver takes a snapshot of the VLF band from 0-24KHz every 10
minutes.

Good luck, Todd WD4NGG
