Check THIS out:
New Radio Frequency Found
This is pretty cool for those of you who might like a higher frequency
sideband channel to talk on, maybe use sometimes as a AM broadcast
channel.
Section (§) 15.225 Operation within the band 13.110 - 14.010 MHz.
"(a) The field strength of any emissions within the band 13.553-13.567
MHz shall not exceed 15,848 microvolts/meter at 30 meters."
(b) Within the bands 13.410-13.553 MHz and 13.567-13.710 MHz, the
field strength of any emissions shall not exceed 334 microvolts/meter
at 30 meters.
(c) Within the bands 13.110-13.410 MHz and 13.710-14.010 MHz the field
strength of any emissions shall not exceed 106 microvolts/meter at 30
meters.
(d) The field strength of any emissions appearing outside of the
13.110-14.010 MHz band shall not exceed the general radiated emission
limits in § 15.209.
Ok, this is how it breaks down:
13.553-13.567 MHz could be a nice place to go and talk on SSB? Using
a vertical or dipole antenna. Maybe someone would do a broadcast
there. It is not a bad frequency in the daytime.
I think a CB radio is rated at 10,000 uV/3 m. So, 15,848 uV/30 m is
a way higher power level than the CB I think. Got to re check Part 15
to be sure? That power level at a measurement of 30 meters is high.
Compare to the CB band: in Part 15;
Section (§) 15.227 Operation within the band 26.96 - 27.28 MHz.
(a) The field strength of any emission within this band shall not
exceed 10,000 microvolts/meter at 3 meters. The emission limit in this
paragraph is based on measurement instrumentation employing an average
detector. The provisions in Section 15.35 for limiting peak emissions
apply.
Ok now see? I got the stuff to backwards engineer the input power to
the antenna based upon the above 15,848 uV/30 m. But I would have to
do a PC search here to locate my notes and equations. Field strength
equations.
(Little off topic note: if any of you know someone who makes printed
circuit boards. I am interested in making kits. But we do not have
to hurry and rush it up. I still have some files to run and tweak on
the designs. But will be looking for a partner to collaborate with.
I write help text also for the builders and so, this can help the
partner to understand the kit and it's use. If you know someone, just
drop me a line at my message box. I use LTspice software as my design
software and all of my circuits have LTspice analysis files with them.)
