Used FLDIGI Ver 3.0 to get the following copy ..looked pretty
good..static levels kinda high
de Lloyd W3NF
vangut÷Obo t k\lMl2R/3 de WE2XGR/2 R FB John. Solid copy but there
were a few fades. Will be interesting to see how we make out as the
QSO progresses. Static conditions similar here. Transmitting and
receivin e on the usual 90 foot vertical...Had power cranked
down...now up to 400 watts. Temp here 61F and clear. Temps been going
into the 40s so good conditions for LF and MF are on the way. How copy
nopw? BK ïvFœC/fCet....WE2XGR/2 DE WE2XGR/3 RR with some pretty deep
fades. Running about 300 watts here with big loop as usual, using that
loop for receive as well. Temp is 59 -- beautiful day. Would have been
a great week for a vacation! But have been stuck at work like I should
be. Am catching up on paperwork for various things in the evenings,
but nothing too demanding. Will start to have some nights out next
week, so less time for radio. Am still playing with "homebrew"
computer here...works pretty well for these application I want to set
up a comparison with that on-board audio and the Delta 44 card --
probably won't get to do that for another week or so. Noticed that the
Delta 44 card uses similar chipset to the onboard audio on this
computer board. HW copy??? WE2XGR/2 DE WE2XGR/3 kBjMrWR³y...WE2XGR/3
de WE2XGR/2 Solid copy that time despite a few serious fades. Not much
static tonight but the fades are very deep. Not too much LF or MF
stuff gg on here other than running the beacon a few nights a week.
Have had very few reports over th summer but enough to make it
worthwhile. Still working on the SS-1R receiver - can't seem to get it
wrapped up. Once that's out of the way it will be back to MF projects.
Yes, it would have been nice wx for a vacation. Missed out on that
activity this summer. Is the beacon from ME still running WOLF?
Haven't looked in a while but thought about having a look for it
earlier tonight. HW? BK&cur = (R)CvtRt'ÿ ...WE2XGR/2 DE WE2XGR/3 RR
good again, fades not so bad. We weo j unning CW last night -- could
see the signals on Fred's grabber. You were winning, as usualMNtunning
the full KW last night? Just curious...not intending to compete. <g>
Yes, TAG is still running WOLF from Maine -- copied it on the 2nd line
this morning...seems t ûe*oing fine. I will probably have iedê`eQ
there, but will avee o1_e Lowfe clerwise, it will be up over the we
]aj hope!!! Am planning to retune the home antenna @atmLt week, and
spend some time down the9}z e:tih e btteerKEt riziÆ ¤ih there in quite
a whileseiziloeot:ta keep the interest up. You promised ùtsata on the
SS-1R, by the way.... <g> HW? WE2XGR/2 DE WE2XGR/3 Kl i°c2XGR/3 de
WE2Xgixf3 R Solid copy John with a few less fades. Okay on TAG - I'll
have a loo0'r. Have been throttled back to about 600 watts lately to
conserve power...will return to full power as the season gets
underway. I was out making an adjuGjent to the antenna the other day
and noticed a couple yellow jackets coming out of the 137 kHz loading
coil. Think it will be necessary to fire that up to kick them and any
other critters out. May follow your lead and fire up there next week.
As far as the SS1R...thought I would have the writeup done by now but
it's dragging on. Will send it to you as soon as it's in presentable
form. So how copy now? BKm =ea H Ýene aeb `E2XGR/2 DE WE2XGR/3 RR
Fine through the fades again.³i8toÙu3em to be gevrgtYZn Lhe bugs in
theiOx7 coil. I rhould oee
ly open my tuning cabinet up carefully before changing sPtings --
haven't been in there for a while, and it's not ai n ARhaeip Ite Hff
that big project of making a single tuning cyiinoe h motors on the vac
variables. By the looks of mL le for the next few months, I doubt
that I would make a dent in it! Am saving the Friday oftilre
T for a trip to Deerfield...as4¹e I will see you up there. Have a few
items in mind, but will of course stand no chance of seeing them.
Don't worry about the SS-1R stuff, just curious, being an old-timer
these days. <g> Boy, the buffer finally caught up with me. I must
really be getting old. HW? WE2XGR/2 DE WE2XGR/3 kBe 1 t'eleo t re

a hotel overnight and continue the festivities on Saturday. A bit much
for a one day affair at this distancee utfugh I have done it. Also
have a number of things on my 'want' list and am hoping to get at
least some of them...and of course other things that aren't on the
list as well. Guess QRUjitm neeŽuseAEameWNIÆcae L'eoeh @e ru¸this

was OK. Guess we have a pretk
ntûover the noise. RR on the NEARFEST plans -- I have a coun
uttnaAZEldD that Saturday, so Friday will be my only shot. After
striking out on almost everything I was looking for last spring, I
have no illusions about finding stuff. Yes, we will have to start the
QSO st"p again...everybody's getting too used to beacon-only
operation. Besides, someone has to hold the torch for Mal over here,
thoughanR¥asgmkµau)ave much good to say sðut MFSK16! Good to talk with
you again...no Sunday night opportunity this week, so maybe we canrl
:Azo toward the end of next week, th¤e´ iistct de to be partly on 137.
