     Mid-summer is of course the worst time of year for LF/MF. When Rudy WD2XSH/20 in Oregon on 500kHz gets on he should be easy copy - but he's been off since late January. Bob WE2XGR/6 with his 200W ERP should be doable.
  My 137 and 500kHz signals have both been copied in OR and WA in the winter, but I'm sure you won't copy them now. (I haven't fired up on 137kHz for the past two months or so, will be back in the Fall.)

  The Canadians are off 137kHz for the moment pending regulatory activity.

   Can't comment on HIFER since I don't do that.
